Hello. I am currently living in South Korea and am planning to live here until the end of 2009. I want to get a PS3 here, but I would want to change it to play North American games when I get back to Canada. I have been told that there is a chip or something that will do this. Any suggestions?

I've heard the same rumors. If I were you, I'd purchase the system and maybe an upgraded warranty for a year or so on it. If they are the same, you're in luck. If not, it'd be best to call Sony and ask them what to do. Some answers you get off here might trash a 600 dollar gaming console

I just purchased a Playstation 3 a couple of weeks ago. (40GB…I couldn't find 80GB models anywhere in town) I got a couple of good games for it too. I wonder what good full games are worthy of downloading from the Playstation store.

My friend is in med school, will be completing her residency/speciality in a year. Now she doesn't have time at all, even to answer our phones.
Just wondering once she starts her own practice after a year, how much free time can she have for her friends and family.
Also, she wants to teach in the med school as a full time instructor. So, can she have free time during weekends and some week days.
Which of these two options is better, to start her own practice or to teach in the med school?
Please give me some idea.

Well, this is a very complex question and in order to give you an accurate answer I would need to know a few things. First off, if she is to practice medicine what field does she want to pursue. This will have a direct impact on how much free time she has. For example if she wants to do surgery or OB/Gyn then the residency programs are long and extremely time consuming. Surgery I believe is ~5 years and Ob/Gyn is ~4. The on call schedule is just as rough. Now if she is interested in say general medicine the residency requirements are significantly less.
Second, opening a privet practice is not only time consuming but is also highly stressful and again depending on the field may not even be possible. If Ob/Gyn then I would think with cost of insurance and time available to deliver babies at all hours of the day and week and to see enough office patients would be nearly impossible for a single doctor and still have free time.
Third, teaching is a noble cause and one can perform this duty along with continuing to practice medicine. Now again depending on the specialty your friend wants will depend on how much more time drain the teaching section will produce.
I am not sure the above really helps you out so here is a final little comment. Your friend will work it out and she will have free time but she has embarked on a never ending profession of learning and will require a lot of her time for the duration. Support her and she there will be more time after school and then again after residency.

You can use a USB flash drive if its big enough. I used the same flash drive as I used to install Ubuntu (you need one apparently, as well as a CD). The game saves were all intact after Ubuntu was installed.

How do I get the playstation 3 to connect to the internet….I’ve hooked up the ethernet cable from my computer to the ps3 and had the ps3 run an internet connection scan with no luck….It always displays connection failed….Please help.

i suggest going out and buying a wireless router. easiest method because of the really easy setup and all you have to do to hook it up to the ps3 is enter the name and the WEP key
