How do I get the playstation 3 to connect to the internet?

How do I get the playstation 3 to connect to the internet….I’ve hooked up the ethernet cable from my computer to the ps3 and had the ps3 run an internet connection scan with no luck….It always displays connection failed….Please help.

i suggest going out and buying a wireless router. easiest method because of the really easy setup and all you have to do to hook it up to the ps3 is enter the name and the WEP key

change the setting from wireless to ethernet might do the trick

when you try to do network settings on ps3 it ask wired or wireless select wired then ensure it connections are right wireless is easier as u may have to adjust your Internet connections on your pc to allow the ps3 to use it Internet connection
